For your living room, choose warm and neutral colors. Give it a unique texture by using faux. Choose colors that will look best as an accent. You can use bright colors for your living room. Just make sure that the colors won't mismatch. It is better to have an open space for your living room. You can arrange your furniture in a central island if you have enough space. In the corner, you can place a tall plant or a sculpture. A more open space can allow better traffic. It could look better and lighter, too.
Having a coffee table certainly adds beauty to your living room but are you using it in the right manner? If you notice that clutter is accumulating on your coffee table, then you have to see to it that you will now place storage for magazines, drink coasters and others. You can add some rolling baskets, binds and low storage cubes under the table.
Most Victorian furniture has ornate wooden carved embellishments with rich fabrics. You can also use seating pieces that are upholstered in brocade, velvet and embroidered. Add some throw pillows with attractive covers. Choose furniture with exposed wood in some parts like on the arm rest, legs and along the upper back of the chair. Use a table that is carved, marble topped, spindled or faux bamboo. You can accent it with traditional-style lamps and porcelain jars with crocheted doilies under it. For a more classical look, place a bookcase that can fill from floor to ceiling.
